This comprehensive three day course is targeted at practitioners, consultants and advisers from development agencies and NGOs wanting to embrace the Sustainable Livelihoods Approach.

What are the aims of the programme?

To present the principles and a working framework for the 'SL' approach through presentations, case studies and challenging debate enabling participants to understand the importance of technical and sectoral programmes and skills in people-centred and holistic development.

Development agencies, DFID, UNDP, and NGOs, such as CARE International and Oxfam, have adopted the sustainable livelihoods approach, to ensure people and especially poor people are at the centre of development.
